Dutch industry sets up chromates REACH authorisation group

Chemical Watch: In the Netherlands, the FME Association, which represents employers and businesses in technological industries, and the Association of Metal Finishing (VOM) have set up a chromium VI knowledge platform to support Dutch industry through the REACH authorisation process. Similar activities are understood to be underway in France, Germany, Belgium and Italy. According to FME’s Robert van Beek hundreds of companies work with chromium trioxide.
